Film acting is different from acting on-stage or a live production in many ways, although the basics are the same. Our Film Acting Workshop is for serious actors, those with an intent to get into the film industry and/or have been signed on for a film which they will begin after the course. We will develop your understanding of the performance needs of a film director. By developing an understanding of production, roles and processes, you will be able to improve your skills in character development to the screen and understand how to deliver an on-camera performance that works specifically for the Indian and Telugu film industry.
The workshop will focus on developing the actors tools i.e. Body & Voice, equip them with the technique of building characters and give them first hand knowledge of acting for the camera with loads of camera practicals.
The workshop will last 2 intensive months, 5 days a week. The first month will see the actors rehearse for a play in order to get rid of stage fear, create awareness and understanding of their acting skills and working on character. After the staging, the actors will continue with the focus on exercises and techniques for the camera specifically, and after many camera practicals will shoot a show-reel and portfolio that will begin and accelerate their journey as actors in films.
Note: Many actors trained by us are already working in the Telugu film and Television industry. Doing the Samahaara Workshop will open the doors for loads of auditions and opportunities for the workshop participants.
